Summary: A novel 3D bacterial cellulose network is used as a cathodic scaffold and combined with a bacterial cellulose hydrogel electrolyte to enable the use of aqueous zinc-ion batteries (ZIB) in wearable applications. Carbon nanofibers@Mn3O4 are obtained through carbonization of the bacterial cellulose network and pre-absorption of Mn salt. The assembled batteries demonstrate high capacity, coulombic efficiency, and capacity retention, revealing the potential of flexible ZIB in wearable applications.

Summary: Zinc-ion hybrid supercapacitors (ZIHSCs) are a highly promising electrochemical energy storage technology due to their high energy density, low cost, environmental sustainability, and inherent safety. A novel energy storage system using hierarchical porous activated carbon with redox-active organic materials as the cathode material for ZIHSCs has been developed. This system, known as redox-active zinc ion hybrid supercapacitors (RAZIHSCs), demonstrates a high energy output, good cycling stability, and low self-discharge and leakage current.

COD adsorption and optimization from produced water using chitosan-ZnO nanocomposite
