Summary: This study investigates the surface modification effects of diphenylphosphine oxide (DPPO) derivatives on PEA(2)SnI(4) film preparation. DPPO derivatives with hydroxyl groups or substituent groups that can form hydroxyl groups are found to have a positive effect in accelerating Sn2+ oxidation, making them unfavorable for surface modification. In contrast, amino-functionalized DPPO molecules effectively modify the defects in PEA(2)SnI(4) films and improve crystallinity. This work demonstrates color-stable pure-red PeLEDs with a narrow emission spectrum at 630 nm, high luminance, and good external quantum efficiency, which have important implications for the selection of effective molecular additives in Sn-based perovskites.

Summary: This study presents the growth of a thin film of polar Mott insulator LaVO3 (LVO) on polar band insulator KTaO3 (KTO,111) using pulsed laser deposition. The resulting interface exhibits an insulator-to-metal transition and enhanced conductivity under blue light illumination at temperatures ranging from 76 K to 300 K. Electrostatic gating also leads to a 23% increase in conductivity under the influence of light and electrostatic gating.

Summary: The coexistence of metallicity and ferroelectricity-like polarization is reported at GdAlO3/SrTiO3 heterointerfaces, where the transport property can be significantly manipulated by switching the polarization state. The switchable conductance improves under the influence of a polarization state at 6 V, accelerating the commercial application of oxide devices.

Summary: Quasi-2D perovskites composed of self-organized quantum well structures have shown promise as gain materials for laser applications. This study investigates the impact of domain distribution on the laser emission of CsPbCl1.5Br1.5-based quasi-2D perovskites. Through the use of 2,2-diphenylethylammonium bromide as a ligand, a quasi-2D film with a narrow domain distribution dominated by large-n domains is formed. This reduces the content of small-n domains and improves energy transfer. By controlling the domain distribution, blue amplified spontaneous emission and single-mode vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasing with low thresholds are achieved.

Summary: This study investigates the metallic band dispersion at the LaAlO3/SrTiO3 heterointerface using soft X-ray angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy. The results show that the insertion of a LaMnO3 buffer layer not only enhances the electron mobility, but also makes the electronic structure robust against X-ray radiation. Moreover, the buffer layer strongly suppresses the formation of oxygen vacancies and the electron-phonon interaction on the SrTiO3 side.

Summary: In this study, the circular photogalvanic effect (CPGE) in oxide two-dimensional electron gases (2DEGs) is reported for the first time. Selectively excited spin polarized electrons from the in-gap states of SrTiO3 are converted into electric current via the mechanism of spin-momentum locking arising from Rashba spin-orbit coupling. Furthermore, the CPGE can be effectively modified by the density and distribution of oxygen vacancies, providing an effective approach to generate and manipulate spin polarized current in oxide spintronics.

Summary: Spin-orbitronics has made advancements in the field of two-dimensional electron gases with Rashba-type spin-orbit coupling. This study demonstrates the charge-to-spin conversion in the 2DEG at an Al/SrTiO3 interface using the direct Edelstein effect. The high conversion efficiency at room temperature decreases as the temperature decreases.

Summary: We demonstrate the modulation of magnetic two-dimensional electron gases (2DEGs) and enhanced spin-orbit interaction at the LaAlO3/SrTiO3 interface by inserting LaCoO3 submonolayers. Our study shows that Kondo behavior can be controlled by interlayer Co ions at a certain temperature and the spin polarization of 2DEGs is enhanced by increasing interfacial Co concentration at low temperatures. Furthermore, we observe an enlarged spin-orbit interaction at the buffered LAO/STO interface, resulting in a remarkably strong field-orientation-dependent magnetoresistance.

Summary: The engineered interfaces of complex oxides have diverse physical properties, providing a powerful platform for exploring fundamental physics and emergent phenomena. By introducing a few atomic layers of delta doping layer at LaAlO3/SrTiO3 interfaces and inserting a SrRuO3 buffer layer, the interfaces exhibit enhanced mobility and a large unsaturated positive magnetoresistance at low temperatures. These findings pave the way for further research on two-dimensional ferromagnetism and quantum transport in all-oxide systems.

Summary: Chemical doping is a dominant method for manipulating oxide two-dimensional electron gas (2DEG). However, maintaining metallic conduction while enhancing the doping level remains challenging. In this study, a concept of high-entropy heterointerface is proposed and high-entropy heterointerfaces with different thicknesses and doping ratios are successfully fabricated. The results demonstrate the potential of this strategy to tailor 2DEG in all-oxide interfaces while maintaining its conductivity.

Summary: The electronic transport property at heterointerfaces is investigated by introducing buffer layers of lanthanum cobaltate with different thicknesses. The interfaces show a metal-to-insulator transition and the mobility is significantly enhanced by increasing the thickness. Two types of carriers at the interfaces are observed, accompanied by the spin-orbit coupling effect, which is attributed to the occupation of the 3d-orbit band of carriers. These findings have important implications for the application of oxide spintronic devices.

Summary: Materials with large linear magnetoresistance (MR) are great for magnetic sensors, but rarity makes investigating this MR in material physics challenging. The nonisostructural GAO/STO heterointerface exhibits a large MR exceeding 2000% and high carrier mobility, with linear and nonsaturating behavior at high fields due to magnetic inhomogeneities-induced inhomogeneous conductivities. Additionally, a weak antilocalization effect contributes an extra quantum correction to the MR in low-field region, and a general qualitative picture of MR proportional to the mobility is established.

Summary: Through material optimization, a significant portion of the La1-xSrxNiO2 phase diagram can enter the realm of superconductivity, with a maximum onset temperature of approximately 9 K at x = 0.20. An unexpected indication of a superconducting ground state was also observed in undoped LaNiO2. Combining the results of different rare-earth elements in the NiO2 system reveals a generalized superconducting dome characterized by systematic shifts in unit cell volume and electron-hole populations across the lanthanides.

Summary: The study focuses on investigating the sole effect of oxygen vacancies (OVs) in KTO, finding that OVs dope electrons in Ta t(2g)(+) antibonding states and lead to the formation of a highly localized deep midgap state due to the linear clustering around Ta. The presence of OVs in KTO-based heterostructures should be carefully considered when interpreting emergent behavior.
