Effects of external field wavelength and solvation on the photophysical property and optical nonlinearity of 1,3-thiazolium-5-thiolates mesoionic compound

Shugui Hua et al.

Summary: The photophysical and optical nonlinear properties of an electronic push-pull mesoionic compound were investigated theoretically. Various wavefunction analysis methods were employed to explore the essence of the optical properties. The influences of electric field and solvation on the absorption spectrum and polarizability of the molecule were highlighted. These results are expected to guide the understanding of the effects of external field wavelength and solvation on the optical properties of mesoscopic molecules.

Fluorescent mesoionic 1-(2-aryl-4H-thieno[3,4-d][1,2,3] triazol-2-ium-4-ylidene)ethan-1-olates: One-pot synthesis, photophysics , and biological behavior

Alexander K. Eltyshev et al.

Summary: This paper reports the one-pot synthesis of condensed mesoionic compounds, specifically bicyclic arylthienotriazoliumolates. These compounds were synthesized through an improved method, resulting in diverse structures with exceptional photophysical properties. The pattern of substituents decorating the mesoionic ring played a crucial role in determining the electronic distributions of the synthesized compounds.
