Summary: Iron exists in various forms in nature and reacts with organic compounds under light exposure, which has significant environmental impacts. This study investigated the photochemical process of Fe-III-carboxylates using experimental methods including spectroscopy and chromatography. The results showed the formation of colloidal materials and revealed their potential formation mechanism.
