New azo Dyes Based on 1,3-dihydroxynitrobenzene and 2,4,6-trihydroxynitrobenzene for Polycaproamide Fibers

V. V. Meleshenkova et al.

Summary: This study reported the synthesis of 16 previously undescribed mono- and bis-azo compounds via azo coupling of 1,3-dihydroxynitrobenzene and 2,4,6-trihydroxynitrobenzene with structurally varied aryldiazonium salts. The synthesized compounds were tested as acid and disperse dyes for polycaproamide fiber, showing good operational properties in stability tests.
