A mild and elegant multicomponent protocol for constructing CF(2)H-containing carbazoles was developed using visible-light photoredox catalysis. This single-step reaction delivers a wide variety of structurally diverse difluoroalkylated carbazoles in moderate to good yields. The reaction features mild conditions, synthetic simplicity, broad substrate scope, and good functional group tolerance.
