Summary: This study assessed the diagnostic utility and cost-effectiveness of oral liquid-based brush cytology (OLBC) in the diagnosis of oral cancer and OPMDs. The results showed a high level of agreement between OLBC and histopathological outcomes. OLBC demonstrated high accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity, and was cost-effective compared to surgical biopsy.
