Flexible PDMS-Based SERS Substrates Replicated from Beetle Wings for Water Pollutant Detection

Chen-Hsin Lu et al.

Summary: A flexible surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) sensor with a bionic 3D nanoarray structure was successfully prepared using replicated technology and thermal evaporation. The Ag nanoisland thin films were deposited on a replicated PDMS substrate to create strong and reproducible three-dimensional hotspots for enhancing Raman signals. The results demonstrate that the bionic 3D SERS sensor has the potential to be applied in wearable devices and sensors for detecting biomolecules and environmental pollutants in the future.

In situ preparation of silver nanoparticles on polyaniline nanofibers for SERS applications

Bismark Nogueira da Silva et al.

Summary: The morphological control of plasmonic silver nanoparticles is a challenge in the field, and in this study, the use of polyaniline (PANI) nanofibers with different surface properties and dopants was explored to synthesize AgNPs with different shapes. The resulting nanocomposites showed distinct surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) enhancements.

Green preparation of silver nanofilms as SERS-active substrates for Rhodamine 6G detection

Jiacheng Zhu et al.

Summary: A green and reliable seed-mediated electroless deposition method using Sargentgloryvine stem extract as reducing and capping agent is explored to prepare silver nanofilms, which can be facilely controlled in particle size and display superior sensitivity and reproducibility towards Rhodamine 6G molecules after optimization. The method provides a promising route for the preparation of other metal nanofilms.
