The DOCK protein family in vascular development and disease

Clare E. Benson et al.

Summary: The vascular network is established and maintained through the processes of vasculogenesis and angiogenesis, which are tightly regulated during embryonic and postnatal life. DOCK family proteins play a key role in controlling vasculogenic and angiogenic processes by affecting cell migration, proliferation, and adhesion. Various angiogenic signaling pathways may regulate the activity of specific DOCK proteins, contributing to the understanding of the roles of DOCK family proteins in vascular development.

Association of Ventricular Arrhythmias With Dementia The Atherosclerosis Risk in Communities (ARIC) Study

Faye L. Norby et al.

Summary: In this study, it was found that the presence of nonsustained ventricular tachycardia (NSVT) and premature ventricular contractions (PVCs) were associated with dementia in elderly black individuals, while there was no significant association between NSVT and dementia in white individuals. Further research and elucidation of underlying mechanisms are warranted.
