Bimetal PtPd functionalized Bi2MoO6 microspheres for conductometric detection of CO: A combined experimental and theoretical study

Yan Zhang et al.

Summary: The bimetallic PtPd-modified Bi2MoO6 (BMO) microspheres were synthesized using facile ultrasonic reduction and solvothermal methods. The sensor based on BMO-1.5% exhibited a significantly higher response value for CO gas compared to the initial BMO sensor. The enhanced gas properties were attributed to the metal-support interaction and sensitization of Pt and Pd.

Adsorption behavior of NO2 molecules in ZnO-mono/multilayer graphene core-shell quantum dots for NO2 gas sensor

Kyu Seung Lee et al.

Summary: This study demonstrates the sensing properties and adsorption mechanism of monolayer graphene and multilayer graphene encapsulated ZnO quantum dots for NO2 gas. The results show that the gas response value and surface potential change of multilayer graphene encapsulated ZnO quantum dots are significantly higher than those of monolayer graphene and ZnO quantum dots. The proposed adsorption mechanism provides insights for improving the detection behavior and enhancing the accuracy of gas sensor analysis.

Theoretical analysis of Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) adsorption on Co and Mn-doped ZnO (000-1)

Maria Gallegos et al.

Summary: Using DFT calculations, the adsorption of PET on ZnO surfaces is studied. The incorporation of Co and Mn in ZnO surface affects its properties and has potential applications in catalysis and spintronics. The adsorption of PET results in surface reconstruction and changes in magnetic properties. The adsorption energy indicates that PET adsorption is more favorable on Mn-doped ZnO (000-1)-O than Co-doped.
