Pressure-Induced Self-Interlocked Structures for Expanded Graphite Composite Papers Achieving Prominent EMI Shielding Effectiveness and Outstanding Thermal Conductivities

Summary: High-performance films have been developed through the layer-by-layer assembly of two-dimensional materials, providing new possibilities for the advancement of modern integrated electronics. In this study, Fe3O4/expanded graphite papers were fabricated using a unique roll-in process, resulting in self-interlocked structures that improved mechanical strength and enabled efficient phonon and electron transmission. These papers exhibited remarkable shielding effectiveness and absorptivity, as well as excellent reliability after bending and ultrasonic treatment. Additionally, the papers displayed high tensile strength and thermal conductivity, and demonstrated rapid and stable Joule heating performance, making them promising for various applications including radiation-proof clothing, flexible heaters, portable wearable devices, and aerospace.

Preparation and characterization of BN modified PA6/PC thermal conductive composites

Summary: The research systematically studied the effects of BN filling amount on thermal conductivity of PA6/PC/BN multiphase composites, finding that the two-phase matrix exhibited slightly better thermal conductivity under the same amount of BN. Additionally, the thermal conductivity of the composites gradually increased with the increase in BN content, reaching a maximum value at 33.33 wt% BN content.

These films exhibited significantly improved thermal conductivity, insulation, mechanical, and thermal properties compared to normal PI films and LC-PI films.

Thermally Conductive but Electrically Insulating Polybenzazole Nanofiber/Boron Nitride Nanosheets Nanocomposite Paper for Heat Dissipation of 5G Base Stations and Transformers

Summary: Dielectric polymer composites are highly promising for electrical and electronic applications due to their potential in providing both high thermal conductivity and electrical insulation. In this work, highly thermally conductive and electrically insulating poly(p-phenylene benzobisoxazole) nanofiber composites were prepared by incorporating functionalized boron nitride nanosheets. The resulting nanocomposite paper exhibited excellent thermal conductivity, mechanical strength, electrical insulation properties, and fire retardance, making it suitable for high power density electrical equipment and electronic devices.

The high thermal conductivity of PDLC films was mainly attributed to the ordered structures formed by LCM stacking, PVA chain arrangement, and their hydrogen bond interaction, providing a new approach for designing and preparing novel high thermal conductive polymers.

Highly thermally conductive carbon nanotubes pillared exfoliated graphite/polyimide composites

Summary: In this study, carbon nanotubes pillared on exfoliated graphite by the microwave-assisted method are used as thermally conductive fillers in polyimide to fabricate composites with significantly improved thermal conductivity.
