Investigation of the tris(8-hydroxyquinoline) aluminum as a promising fluorescent optical material for in vitro bioimaging

Abdu Saeed et al.

Summary: Tris(8-hydroxyquinoline) aluminum (Alq3) has been used as a fluorescent optical material for in vitro bioimaging for the first time. The optimal concentration of Alq3 was found to be 25 μM based on cell viability and photoluminescence spectroscopy results. This study suggests the potential use of Alq3 as a fluorescent optical material in bio-applications.

Theoretical investigation, synthesis and fabrication of efficient organometallic light emitting diodes based on Schiff base platinum complexes: A QTAIM study

Samira Pahlavan Isfahan et al.

Summary: The atomic electronic properties and atomic basin properties of two Schiff base Pt-salophen structures with H and Br substitution atoms were studied using DFT/TDDFT computational calculation methods. The molecules were grouped into donor-like and acceptor-like sections based on QTAIM analysis. Additionally, the intra-molecular charge and energy transfer efficiency were examined for each molecular system using atomic electronic densities. The results showed good agreement between the theoretical analysis and experimental results, demonstrating the potential of QTAIM analysis in the investigation of organic materials for OLED optoelectronic devices.

HR MAS NMR, dielectric impedance and XRD characterization of polyethylene oxide films for structural phase transitions

Ahmad Telfah et al.

Summary: The amorphous/crystalline phase transition behavior of PEO films prepared by spin casting method was studied. The PEO film shows semicrystalline nature at room temperature and becomes amorphous at 333 K. 1H NMR spectra analysis reveals two main peaks corresponding to mobile polymer chains in the amorphous phase and more rigid molecules in the crystalline phase. The calculated activation energies for crystalline and amorphous phases are comparable.

Manufacturing of nanoflowers crystal of ZnQ2 by a co-precipitation process and their morphology-dependent luminescence properties

Zahra Shahedi et al.

Summary: Bis(8-hydroxyquinoline) zinc (ZnQ(2)) nano-flowers were synthesized in a water environment using different solutions and surfactants at room temperature through a simple chemical precipitation method. The study confirmed that the morphology and growing environment of ZnQ(2) nanostructures are closely related, with different media providing diverse surroundings for crystal growth, resulting in products with varying morphologies. Additionally, the role of CTAB in the formation of nanoflowers was found to be crucial, with ZnQ(2) nanostructures showing higher luminescence intensity and lower absorption compared to nano-sheets.
