NH3-SCR performance and SO2 resistance comparison of CeO2 based catalysts with Fe/Mo additive surface decoration

Lin Zhu et al.

Summary: Surface modifications of CeO2 with Fe2O3 and/or MoO3 can adjust SCR catalytic performance and SO2 resistance. Fe2O3 slightly improves low temperature SCR activity, while MoO3 significantly enhances NOx conversion. Different deactivation behaviors are observed at 250 degrees C for the four catalysts.

Enhancing the K-poisoning resistance of CeO2-SnO2 catalyst by hydrothermal method for NH3-SCR reaction

Wanxia Zhao et al.

Summary: The CS-HT catalyst showed better denitration activity and anti-K poisoning performance compared to the CS-CP catalyst, which was attributed to the good distribution of Sn4+, excellent redox performance, and surface acidity in the former. The enhancement of the anti-K poisoning ability of the CS-HT catalyst was related to the easier combination of Sn-O bonds with introduced K, which protected the Ce-O active sites.

Fabrication of wide temperature FexCe1-xVO4 modified TiO2-graphene catalyst with excellent NH3-SCR performance and strong SO2/H2O tolerance

Zhifang Li et al.

Summary: This study investigates the promotional effect of Fe additive on the NH3-SCR activity of CeVO4/TiO2-graphene catalyst. The results show that the addition of Fe significantly enhances the low-temperature conversion of NOx, and the Fe0.5Ce0.5VO4/TiO2-graphene catalyst exhibits the best performance. The introduction of Fe enhances the redox ability and surface concentration of active species, leading to improved SCR performance and H2O/SO2 tolerance. Additionally, the catalyst shows excellent stability.

Influence of phosphorus on the NH3-SCR performance of CeO2-TiO2 catalyst for NOx removal from co-incineration flue gas of domestic waste and municipal sludge

Jun Cao et al.

Summary: This study investigates the effect of phosphorus on the NH3-SCR performance and physicochemical properties of CeO2-TiO2 catalyst. The results show that phosphorus decreases the NH3-SCR activity and suppresses the formation of NOx and N2O caused by NH3 over-oxidation. The introduction of phosphorus disrupts the catalyst's structure, limiting the transfer of electrons, the relative contents of Ce3+, and the surface adsorbed oxygen, leading to the inhibition of NH3 over-oxidation.

Influence of preparation methods of supports on the deNOx performance and alkali-metal resistance over TiO2/CeO2 catalysts in NH3-SCR reaction

Xiaojiang Yao et al.

Summary: Two kinds of TiO2/CeO2 catalysts with different morphologies were prepared by two different synthesis methods. It was found that random loading of TiO2 species on tubular CeO2 support did not enhance the catalyst performance, and the excellent catalytic performance was attributed to better dispersion of TiO2 species and superior physicochemical properties.

Two steps synthesis of CeTiOx oxides nanotube catalyst: Enhanced activity, resistance of SO2 and H2O for low temperature NH3-SCR of NOx

Zhiping Zhang et al.

Summary: CeTiOx-T with nanotube structure exhibits excellent catalytic activity, SO2 and H2O tolerance, and stability in NH3-SCR reaction. The strong interaction between Ce and Ti leads to short-range ordered Ce-O-Ti species, resulting in a larger BET surface area and higher NH3-SCR performance than traditional catalysts. In situ DRIFTS results suggest different reaction mechanisms at low and high temperatures over CeTiOx-T.

Summary: This study found that doping Nb2O5 can enhance the SCR performance and sulfur resistance of Zn-Mn-Ce/AC catalyst, form new acidic sites by preferentially reacting with SO2, promote NH3 adsorption and inhibit SO2 adsorption, which hinders the reaction between NH3 and SO2 and slows the formation of ammonium sulfate channels on the catalyst.

Effects of different methods of introducing Mo on denitration performance and anti-SO2 poisoning performance of CeO2

Lulu Li et al.

Summary: This study focused on the development of Mo-modified CeO2 catalysts for the efficient reduction of NOx emissions from stationary sources. It was found that the Mo-CeO2 catalyst exhibited higher NO conversion and better SO2 resistance at low temperatures compared to MoCe-cp. The highly dispersed Mo species on the surface of the Mo-CeO2 catalyst promoted the SCR reaction and protected CeO2 from SO2 poisoning.
