Nanowire stacked bimetallic metal-organic frameworks for asymmetric supercapacitor

Jianli Wang et al.

Summary: Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have great potential in the field of supercapacitors due to their unique structure and tunable pore size. In this study, Ni-MOF crystals were prepared using a simple and mild solvothermal process, serving as a template for the synthesis of flower-like NiCoMOF-2 by in-situ etching methods. The petal-like structure of NiCo-MOF-2, composed of stacked nanowires, enhances the active sites and promotes charge transfer, resulting in a larger specific capacity. The assembled asymmetric supercapacitor (NiCoMOF-2//AC) exhibits high energy density and excellent lifespan.
