How Does Agricultural Mechanization Service Affect Agricultural Green Transformation in China?

Xuelan Li et al.

Summary: Based on panel data from 2011 to 2020 in 30 Chinese provinces, this paper measures AGTFP using the Super-SBM model and examines the impact of different AMS supply agents on AGTFP and spatial spillover effects. The findings suggest that specialization and large-scale operations of AMS supply organizations have positive effects on local AGTFP, while specialization has positive effects on neighboring provinces' AGTFP. On the other hand, specialization of AMS supply individuals has a negative effect on local AGTFP, while large-scale AMS supply individuals have a positive effect. The spatial spillover effects are insignificant. The asymmetry of AGTFP spatial spillover indicates the flow of AMS resources from non-main grain production and developed regions to main grain production and less developed regions. These findings provide policy references for agricultural mechanization service system construction and realizing agricultural green transformation.

Does Agricultural Credit Input Promote Agricultural Green Total Factor Productivity? Evidence from Spatial Panel Data of 30 Provinces in China

Fuwei Wang et al.

Summary: This study uses panel data from 30 provinces in China from 2009 to 2020 to measure agricultural green total factor productivity using the super-efficiency SBM model with undesirable outputs. It also explores the impact of agricultural credit input on agricultural green total factor productivity and its spatial spillover effect. The results show that there is room for further improvement in agricultural green total factor productivity and that agricultural credit input has a significant regional heterogeneity in promoting agricultural green total factor productivity.

The emerging driving force of inclusive green growth: Does digital economy agglomeration work?

Shuming Ren et al.

Summary: This research discusses the impact of digital economy agglomeration on inclusive green growth in China and its transmission mechanism. It finds that digital economy agglomeration has a positive influence on inclusive green growth through factors such as energy consumption, environmental pollution, and economic growth. Additionally, the Broadband China policy is shown to enhance local inclusive green growth but inhibit growth in neighboring cities.

How does green finance affect green total factor productivity? Evidence from China

Chi-Chuan Lee et al.

Summary: This study examines the impact of green finance development on green productivity using panel data of 30 Chinese provinces from 2006 to 2018. The findings reveal that green finance development significantly improves green productivity, especially in provinces with better economic and social conditions, less public participation in environmental protection, and higher pollution levels. Additionally, implementing green finance policies can further enhance the effect of green finance development.

Agricultural Green Total Factor Productivity under the Distortion of the Factor Market in China

Yang Yang et al.

Summary: The study shows that the growth of agricultural green total factor productivity in China is mainly driven by agricultural technological progress, with significant regional differences. Factor market distortion negatively impacts agricultural green total factor productivity, and the government should promote reform in agricultural production methods and green agriculture to establish a policy system for high-quality green development in modern agriculture.

Marketization, environmental regulation, and eco-friendly productivity: A Malmquist-Luenberger index for pollution emissions of large Chinese firms

Dongyang Zhang

Summary: The study finds that both marketization and environmental regulations significantly promote green productivity, but these effects weakened from the tenth to twelfth Five-Year Plans. Different ownership types of enterprises have varying effects from regulations and marketization, while regionally, central China shows the strongest association between green TFP growth and marketization and regulations.

Water company productivity change: A disaggregated approach accounting for changes in inputs and outputs

Manuel Mocholi-Arce et al.

Summary: The assessment of productivity change in water utilities is crucial for sector managers and regulators. Using the LHMPI, this study found that the decline in productivity in several water companies in England and Wales from 2001 to 2018 was primarily due to inputs increasing faster than outputs.

Network power and innovation performance: Moderating effect based on knowledge base diversity and consistency-Taking new energy vehicle industry in Shanghai as an example

Yan Xiong et al.

Summary: This paper explores the relationship between network power, knowledge base, and innovation performance, finding an inverted U-shaped relationship between network power and innovation performance in cooperative innovation networks. The diversity and consistency of the knowledge base of innovation subjects have significant positive correlations with innovation performance, while knowledge base diversity positively moderates the relationship between network power and innovation performance, and knowledge base consistency negatively moderates this relationship.
