Developing agri-food value chains: learning networks between exploration and exploitation

In this perspective article, the metaphor of 'swarms' and 'swarming' is used to illustrate a distributed way of working that can help AR4D researchers and institutions step up the pace and scale for food systems transformation. The authors identify four roles for AR4D within swarmed design and highlight the need for collaboration in four priority areas to create an enabling environment for these roles.

Ecosystems of Collaboration for Sustainability-Oriented Innovation: The Importance of Values in the Agri-Food Value-Chain
