Optimal cost management of the CCHP based data center with district heating and district cooling integration in the presence of different energy tariffs

Ilhan Keskin et al.

Summary: Data centers are significant energy consumers and can be utilized as a source of waste heat energy. A combined cooling, heat, and power system can meet the power and cooling demands of data centers and provide flexibility through integration with regional heating and cooling systems. This paper presents a comprehensive energy cost management framework that considers electricity, heating, cooling, and the utilization of data center's waste heat.

Towards nearly zero-energy residential neighbourhoods in the European Union: A case study

Modeste Kameni Nematchoua et al.

Summary: The EU aims to require all new buildings to comply with nearly zero-energy buildings by 2030. A research in Belgium reviewed literature on net zero-energy buildings and analyzed the possibility of applying it in different neighborhood types based on challenges like climate change and sustainable mobility. Results show that by combining heavy building renovations, electric vehicles, and photovoltaic panels, over 90% of current energy consumption can be reduced at the neighborhood scale.
