Molecular modelling and structure-activity relationship of a natural derivative of o-hydroxybenzoate as a potent inhibitor of dual NSP3 and NSP12 of SARS-CoV-2: in silico study

Yusuf Oloruntoyin Ayipo et al.

Summary: In this study, four compounds with potential anti-SARS-CoV-2 activity were identified from the IBScreen database, among which STOCK1N-45901 was considered the most promising candidate and showed strong interactions with nsp3 and nsp12 enzymes. These compounds have the potential to be further developed as antiviral and anti-inflammatory agents.

Evaluation of oxindole derivatives as a potential anticancer agent against breast carcinoma cells: In vitro, in silico, and molecular docking study

Sachin Puri et al.

Summary: In this study, the in vitro anticancer activity of spiro oxindole derivatives against MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231 cell lines was investigated, and compound 6 showed the most potent activity. Additionally, in silico predictions indicated that these derivatives have favorable physicochemical properties for bioavailability and are non-toxic to normal cells. Molecular docking and dynamic simulation studies further validated the activity of compound 6, suggesting that these derivatives may serve as leads for new anticancer agents.

In vitro and computational investigations of novel synthetic carboxamide-linked pyridopyrrolopyrimidines with potent activity as SARS-CoV-2-MPro inhibitors

Ateyatallah Aljuhani et al.

Summary: A novel set of compounds was designed and evaluated for their antiviral activity against COVID-19 using in vitro assays and molecular docking simulations. The majority of these compounds showed potent antiviral activity with minimal cytotoxicity. Compounds 25 and 29 exhibited promising inhibitory activity and were stable in molecular dynamic simulations. These results suggest that compounds 25 and 29 are potential drug candidates for the treatment of SARS-CoV-2.
