Enhancement of Damping-Like Field and Field-Free Switching in Pt/(Co/Pt)/PtMn Trilayer Films Prepared in the Presence of an In Situ Magnetic Field

Birui Wu et al.

Summary: It has been found that in the presence of the in situ field, a small in-plane bias field and field-free switching of perpendicular magnetization can be observed. Furthermore, the damping-like fields are much enhanced.

Origin of magnetic field-induced magnetic anisotropy in amorphous CoFeB thin films

Lu Yuan et al.

Summary: Magnetic anisotropy is an important property of magnetic materials, affecting the orientation of magnetic moment and the working frequency of magnetoelectric devices. A significant magnetic field-induced uniaxial magnetic anisotropy was observed in amorphous CoFeB thin films containing double ferromagnetic atoms. The magnetic anisotropy was found to be subtly related to the variation of orbital magnetic moment acquired by ferromagnetic resonance.

Interface robust magnetoelectric coupling effect in ferromagnetic/ferroelectric BiFeO3/KNbO3 heterostructure: First-principles calculations

Mengmeng Zhao et al.

Summary: This work demonstrates an effective method for achieving non-volatile electrical control of two-dimensional magnets. By constructing a heterostructure of BiFeO3 and KNbO3, the magnetic order of BiFeO3 can be changed, showing strong magnetoelectric coupling properties.

Electric-Field Control of Magnetoresistance Behavior in a Conetic Alloy Thin Film/Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)0.7Ti0.3O3 Multiferroic Heterostructure

Cangmin Wang et al.

Summary: This study investigates the influence of electric fields on the room-temperature magnetotransport behavior of an artificial multiferroic heterostructure. The results show significant tunability of both the switching field and MR ratio under different magnetic field directions. This demonstrates the considerable potential of multiferroic heterostructures with electrically tunable MR in designing energy-efficient electronic and spintronic devices.

Using Dipole Interaction to Achieve Nonvolatile Voltage Control of Magnetism in Multiferroic Heterostructures

Aitian Chen et al.

Summary: The nonvolatile voltage control of resistance in Co/MgO/CoFeB magnetic tunnel junctions demonstrated in this study originates from the nonvolatile magnetization rotation of an interacting CoFeB magnet driven by volatile voltage-generated strain. The findings suggest that the magnetization response to volatile strain among interacting magnets is different from that among isolated magnets.
