Facile synthesize of PANI/GO/CuFe2O4 nanocomposite material with synergistic effect for superb performance supercapacitor

Amirmohammad Khosravi Ghasemi et al.

Summary: Storage of energy and the pollution of the environment are major challenges facing the world today. Hybrid supercapacitors have attracted attention due to their high energy/power density and extended life cycle. A ternary PANI/GO/CuFe2O4 nanocomposite was developed as a new hybrid supercapacitor electrode, which exhibited the highest specific capacitance and cycle stability compared to single and binary samples. These findings suggest that the ternary PANI/GO/CuFe2O4 composite material can be used as a unique electrode material for high-efficiency and reliable energy storage devices.

Spherical spinel NiMn2O4 in-situ grown on MWCNT via solvothermal synthesis for supercapacitors

Wenhao Peng et al.

Summary: In this study, spherical spinel NiMn2O4 was in-situ grown on MWCNT using solvothermal method, and NiMn2O4/MWCNT-1.0 was prepared by sol-gel method for comparison. The effect of preparation methods and MWCNT content on the specific capacitance of the composite was investigated. The results showed that NiMn2O4/MWCNT-1.0 composite prepared by solvothermal method with an addition of 1.0 g MWCNT exhibited the highest specific capacitance, energy density, and power density. The combination of NiMn2O4 and MWCNT significantly improved the diffusion coefficient of OH- ions, and the diffusion coefficient of NiMn2O4/MWCNT-1.0 prepared by solvothermal method was about 320 times that of sol-gel method. The capacitance retention rate after 5000 cycles was approximately 64%.

Recent Trends in Bimetallic Oxides and Their Composites as Electrode Materials for Supercapacitor Applications

T. Elango Balaji et al.

Summary: There is a growing interest in supercapacitors for their high specific power, fast charge/discharge rates, and long cycling stability. However, supercapacitors containing transition metal oxides, carbon-based materials, and conducting polymers commonly suffer from inferior ion-transport kinetics and poor electronic conductivity, which can affect the rate capability and cycling stability of the electrodes.

CuMn2O4 spinel anchored on graphene nanosheets as a novel electrode material for supercapacitor

Chen Zhang et al.

Summary: The Copper manganese oxide-graphene (CuMn2O4-RGO) composite was prepared using the sol-gel method and physical grinding, and then applied as electrode materials for supercapacitors. Various characterization techniques were used to analyze the structure and morphology of the composites. Through electrochemical tests, it was found that the CuMn2O4-RGO composite at a mass ratio of 1:1 exhibited excellent electrochemical properties, with higher capacitance and energy density compared to pure CuMn2O4 and RGO. The composite shows promising potential as an electrode material for supercapacitors.
