Chromium-Benzenedicarboxylates Metal Organic Framework for Supersensitive and Selective Electrochemical Sensor of Toxic Cd2+, Pb2+, and Hg2+Metal Ions: Study of their Interactive Mechanism

Kamlesh B. Deore et al.

Summary: This study investigates the voltammetric determination of toxic Cd2+, Pb2+, and Hg2+ metal ions using a Cr-BDC/GCE electrochemical sensor. The Cr-BDC metal-organic framework was synthesized and characterized, and the electrochemical performance of the sensor was studied. The parameters of the voltammetric technique were optimized to enhance the sensitivity, selectivity, LOD, repeatability, reproducibility, and stability of the sensor. The results show that the Cr-BDC/GCE sensor has high sensitivity and stability for Cd2+, Pb2+, and Hg2+ ions, and exhibits good recovery and low RSD values for actual tap water samples.

Fabrication of ZnO/NiO:rGO coated Ni foam binder-free electrode via hydrothermal method for supercapacitor application

S. Arunpandiyan et al.

Summary: ZnO/NiO:rGO nanocomposite coated Ni foam binder-free electrode (ZNR/NF) and powder sample (ZNR) were successfully synthesized using hydrothermal technique. Characterization of the synthesized powder sample revealed that rGO has lower structural defects compared to GO, and SEM and HR-TEM analysis showed the uniform distribution of ZNR sample. The ZNR/NF binder-free electrode exhibited high specific capacitance, power, and energy density under 1 M KOH electrolyte, as well as good electrochemical retention after 10,000 GCD cycles.
