Global exponential stability of impulsive switched positive nonlinear systems with mode-dependent impulses

Yu Kang et al.

Summary: This research explores the global exponential stability of a type of continuous-time impulsive switched positive nonlinear systems (ISPNSs) with average dwell time switching and mode-dependent impulsive effects. By introducing the multiple max-separable Lyapunov functions method, the relation between impulse strength, system modes, average dwell time, and mode-dependent average impulsive interval is successfully established, and several stability conditions are presented.

On Stabilizability of Switched Linear Systems Under Restricted Switching

Atreyee Kundu

Summary: This article discusses the stability of discrete-time switched linear systems with all unstable subsystems and admissible switching signals that meet specific restrictions. It provides sufficient conditions on the subsystems matrices for a switched system to be globally exponentially stable under a set of purely time-dependent switching signals that obey the given restrictions. The analysis involves commutation relations between certain products of the subsystems matrices and graph-theoretic arguments.

Asynchronous l2 - l∞ filtering of discrete-time impulsive switched systems with admissible edge-dependent average dwell time switching signal

Huiying Liu et al.

Summary: This paper addresses the asynchronous l(2) - l(infinity) filtering problem for discrete-time impulsive switched systems, proposing a novel Lyapunov function and an improved inequality to ensure filtering system performance. Criteria for proving globally uniformly exponential stability using directed graphs and average dwell time technology are suggested. Three numerical examples demonstrate the effectiveness of the conclusions drawn.

Incremental stability and contraction via impulsive control for continuous-time dynamical systems

Bin Liu et al.

Summary: This paper investigates incremental stability and contraction via impulsive control for continuous-time dynamical systems. Criteria for incremental stability including delta GAS and delta GES are established using Lyapunov-like function and average dwell-time methods. The robustness of delta GES via impulsive control is demonstrated with respect to time-delays and data dropout. Some less conservative criteria are derived for global contracting/delta GES via impulsive control.

Optimal Control of Hybrid Systems via Hybrid Lagrangian Submanifolds

William A. Clark et al.

Summary: In this paper, a geometric interpretation is developed for solutions to the Bolza problem in optimal control for systems subject to hybrid dynamics. The concept of hybrid Lagrangian submanifolds is introduced, which are invariant under the hybrid Hamiltonian flow. Solutions to the hybrid optimal control problem are characterized by propagating these submanifolds under the hybrid Hamiltonian flow, avoiding issues of multi-valuedness and singularities. An example of the controlled bouncing ball is provided to illustrate the theory.
