Fuzzy Double Deep Q-Network-Based Gait Pattern Controller for Humanoid Robots

Tzuu-Hseng S. Li et al.

Summary: This article introduces a method combining the adaptive-network-based fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) with the double deep Q-network (DDQN) to create a fuzzy DDQN (FDDQN) that enables a humanoid robot to generate a real-time gait pattern based on a linear inverted pendulum model. The proposed FDDQN not only allows immediate correction of the gait pattern, but also enhances the stability of the robot.

Observer-based adaptive controller design for chaos synchronization using Bernstein-type operators

Alireza Izadbakhsh et al.

Summary: This article presents an observer-based robust adaptive controller for chaos synchronization using Bernstein-type operators. It shows that this method can assure the uniform ultimate boundedness of the observer estimation error and synchronization error. The performance of the proposed approach is evaluated using the Duffing-Holmes oscillator and compared with RBFNN.

Neural pinning control for adaptive trajectory tracking of complex dynamical networks

David Rodriguez-Castellanos et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a pinning control scheme for adaptive trajectory tracking of networked nonlinear systems, based on a high-order neural network identification strategy for unknown pinned nodes dynamics. The control law operates properly with different references and unknown dynamics, imposed less restrictive assumptions for node dynamics, and obtained matrix conditions for network topology and control properties. The applicability of this control scheme is illustrated via simulations.

Szasz-Mirakyan-based adaptive controller design for chaotic synchronization

Alireza Izadbakhsh et al.

Summary: This article introduces a robust adaptive controller for chaos synchronization utilizing the Szasz-Mirakyan operator as a universal approximator. By employing the Szasz-Mirakyan operator to approximate uncertainties, stability can be ensured, as demonstrated through numerical simulations on the Duffing-Holmes oscillator.

Jacobi Stability Analysis and the Onset of Chaos in a Two-Degree-of-Freedom Mechanical System

Fanrui Wang et al.

Summary: In this paper, the Jacobi stability of a two-degree-of-freedom mechanical system is investigated using differential geometric methods. The construction of geometric invariants allows for a discussion on the stability of two equilibria and a periodic orbit. The phase portraits of deviation vectors near equilibria, along with the sensitivity of these vectors to initial conditions, are illustrated to predict chaos onset quantitatively.

Robust extreme learning machine neural approach for uncertain nonlinear hyper-chaotic system identification

Ho Pham Huy Anh et al.

Summary: This paper introduces a novel advanced single-hidden layer neural extreme learning machine model with nonlinear parameters (ASHLN-ELM), in which hidden and output weighting values are updated simultaneously using adaptively robust rules based on Lyapunov stability principle. The proposed approach guarantees fast convergence and limits state-estimation residual errors to zero without the need for knowledge related to desired weighting values or required approximating error. The efficiency and robustness of the method are demonstrated using typical uncertain hyper-chaotic benchmark systems.
