Three-way conflict analysis based on alliance and conflict functions

Junfang Luo et al.

Summary: Trisecting agents, issues, and agent pairs is essential in conflict analysis. Aggregating rating and auxiliary functions poses challenges due to the opposite aspects they measure. To address this, the study separates auxiliary functions into alliance and conflict functions and explores the concepts of alliance sets and strategies.

Consensus reaching process in large-scale group decision making based on bounded confidence and social network

Yanhong Li et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a CRP approach based on bounded confidence and social network for large-scale group decision-making. The approach manages experts' opinions by reducing problem dimension and using experts' weights obtained from social network analysis. The CRP is built based on the Manhattan distance, and a feedback mechanism is developed to adjust experts' opinions. The numerical example and comparisons demonstrate the feasibility and advantages of the proposed approach.

Xiaoqing Ye et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a novel sequential recommendation strategy from the temporal-spatial perspective, which constructs multilevel recommendation information using recurrent neural network and achieves multi-step recommendation through a temporal-spatial three-way recommendation strategy. A temporal-spatial three-way recommendation based on recurrent neural network is further proposed to realize recommendation with lower decision cost.

Three-way group consensus decision based on hierarchical social network consisting of decision makers and participants

Decui Liang et al.

Summary: In this paper, the decision-making process in group decision making (GDM) of organization management is explored through the construction of an adjustment mechanism based on hierarchical social networks. By identifying different types of followers and decision makers, computing their influence, and constructing suitable consensus models, the classification rules of three-way group decision are determined based on consensual loss information and Bayesian decision theory.

Knowledge discovery and updating under the evolution of network formal contexts based on three-way decision

Mengyu Yan et al.

Summary: Three-way concept analysis, a combination of three-way decision and formal concept analysis, has been widely used in knowledge discovery due to its ability to provide more information than traditional methods. However, traditional three-way concept analysis primarily deals with object-attribute data, and the analysis of object-object information with structural information remains an important topic. In this study, we propose a network formal context and define global network OE-concepts and local network OE-concepts to simultaneously analyze object-object and object-attribute information. We further investigate knowledge discovery based on these concepts and discuss the dynamic updating mechanism under the evolution of a network formal context. Experimental results demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed network OE-concept updating methods.

Three-way decision on information tables

Xiaonan Li et al.

Summary: This paper generalizes the model of three-way decision from 0-1 tables to general information tables, with the assignment of values to the set of objects and the construction of tri-partitions. The fundamental result identifies finitely many pairs of thresholds and describes the variation of the positive region based on thresholds. The evaluation of these finite tri-partitions by weighted entropy allows for obtaining an optimal tri-partition.

A Sequential Three-Way Decision Model With Intuitionistic Fuzzy Numbers

Qinghua Zhang et al.

Summary: This paper introduces a three-way decision model for handling cost parameters and attribute values in an intuitionistic fuzzy environment. New models with IFNs are constructed based on membership and nonmembership degrees, with optimistic and pessimistic decisions made according to risk preferences. A sequential strategy is applied to address attribute increments in practical problems, and the efficiency of sequential 3WDMs is validated through numerical examples and experiments.

Group decision making with hesitant fuzzy linguistic preference relations based on modified extent measurement

Peijia Ren et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a consensus model for group decision making with hesitant fuzzy linguistic preference relations, which includes clustering HFLPRs and building a consensus model based on modified extents of decision makers' HFLPRs. The analyses focus on decision makers' different attitudes towards distances, differences and complexities of other models, and experimental support for the maximum modified extent determination in different decision scenarios. The proposed consensus model is demonstrated through an application in selecting an optimal flood discharge technique for a hydropower station.
