Fast-Specific Fluorescent Probes to Visualize Norepinephrine Signaling Pathways and Its Flux in the Epileptic Mice Brain

Huming Yan et al.

Summary: This study proposes a strategy to improve the specificity and response rate of an NE fluorescent probe. By adding an aldehyde group to the ortho of the ester group, a dual-site probe is created. The release and reuptake of NE were successfully detected in animal experiments, and abnormal expression of NE in the brain during epilepsy was discovered. This research provides useful tools and a theoretical foundation for diagnosing and treating central nervous system diseases early.

Phenothiazine-based fluorescent probe for fluoride ions and its applications in rapid detection of endemic disease

Longjia Yan et al.

Summary: Fluoride detection is crucial for environmental monitoring and disease screening. Small molecule fluorescent probes have gained rapid development in recent years due to their high efficiency, selectivity, and low cost. In this study, a novel phenothiazine-based fluorescent probe PHT was designed and synthesized for the quick detection of fluoride ions. PHT exhibited a response time of only 1 minute and a detection limit of 1.3 ppb. Furthermore, PHT showed a stoke shift of around 140 nm, which surpassed previous reports. Finally, the PHT probe was successfully utilized for HepG2 imaging and detection of biological samples with endemic disease.
