Excitation of Anti-Stokes Luminescence in Y2O2S:Er Ceramics with the Participation of the Erbium 4I13/2 Metastable State

A. N. Gruzintsev

Summary: The emission and visible photoluminescence excitation spectra of Y2O2S:Er (1 at %) ceramics were investigated. The results showed that the visible anti-Stokes luminescence of the erbium-doped material exhibited higher intensity when pumped with the I-4(13/2) metastable state. The study also developed an optical excitation method for the metastable states in anti-Stokes luminescence.

IR-Emitting Luminescence Properties of CaNb2O6:Yb, Er, Ho

E. A. Moskvitina et al.

Summary: CaNb2O6:Yb, Er, Ho phosphors were prepared via solid-state reaction, showing IR emission under 940-nm excitation with a spectrum consisting of four bands. Energy transfer between activators was observed through luminescence properties. The optimal concentrations for achieving maximum luminescence intensity in the 2 μm region were x = 15 mol %, y = 7 mol %, and z = 1 mol % in CaNb2O6:xYb, yEr, zHo phosphor.

Synthesis and Optical Properties of YAG : Ce Ceramics with a High Cerium Concentration

K. E. Lukyashin et al.

Summary: Samples of YAG : Ce optical ceramics with different activator concentrations were synthesized by a solid-phase method, and the effects of activator concentration and sintering additive type on the physicochemical properties of the ceramics were studied. It was found that increasing Ce concentration in YAG resulted in changes in ceramic properties, and Ce acted as a sintering additive, accelerating mass-transfer processes. Luminescence properties of the synthesized samples were also investigated, with different Ce concentrations showing different emission intensities and response speeds.
