2+1 Rhenium and Technetium Tricarbonyl Complexes with N,N′-Bidentate Ligands and Methyl 11-Isocyanoundecanoate

A. E. Miroslavov et al.

Summary: 2+1 tricarbonyl complexes [M(CO)(3)(N<^>N)CN(CH2)(10)COOMe]ClO4, where M = Tc or Re, N<^>N = 2,2'-bipyridine (bipy) or 1,10-phenanthroline (phen), were synthesized by reacting [M(CO)(3)(N<^>N)(MeOH)]ClO4 with methyl 11-isocyanoundecanoate in methanol. The complexes were characterized by IR and H-1 NMR spectroscopy and elemental analysis. The resistance of the 2+1 tricarbonyl complexes to chelation with histidine was evaluated.

Technetium(I) carbonyl complexes for nuclear medicine: Coordination-chemical aspect

Georgy V. Sidorenko et al.

Summary: This study focuses on the development of radiopharmaceuticals based on the Tc(I) carbonyl core from a coordination-chemical viewpoint. The coordination behavior of the fac-Tc(CO)(3)(+) core, including acid properties, complexation kinetics, coordination preferences, and ligand transformations, is discussed in detail. The study also explores labeling strategies, ligands for biomo-lecular tethering, and alternative technetium carbonyl coordination cores.
