An adaptive mutual K-nearest neighbors clustering algorithm based on maximizing mutual information

Yizhang Wang et al.

Summary: Clustering based on Mutual K-nearest Neighbors (CMNN) is a classical method that groups data into clusters. However, it has limitations regarding the parameter k and misidentification of noise points. To address these issues, we propose an adaptive improved CMNN algorithm (AVCMNN) consisting of the improved CMNN algorithm (VCMNN) and the adaptive VCMNN algorithm (AVCMNN). The experimental results show that VCMNN and AVCMNN outperform other classical and state-of-the-art clustering algorithms.

One-step multi-view spectral clustering with cluster label correlation graph

S. El Hajjar et al.

Summary: Recently, one-step clustering methods have achieved good performance. However, there is a lack of approaches for handling the multi-view case, where each instance may have multiple representations. In this paper, a novel graph-based multi-view clustering approach is proposed, which introduces cluster label correlation graph and smoothing constraint to improve the clustering performance.

Dong Huang et al.

Summary: Ensemble clustering based on fast propagation of cluster-wise similarities via random walks addresses the issues of lack of information at higher levels of granularity and neglect of multiscale relationships in current ensemble clustering research. By constructing a cluster similarity graph and conducting random walks, a new cluster-wise similarity matrix is derived to achieve an enhanced co-association matrix. The proposed approach demonstrates effectiveness and efficiency through extensive experiments on various real-world datasets.

Fuzzy graph clustering

Yong Peng et al.

Summary: A two-stage clustering model called FGC (fuzzy graph clustering) is proposed to address the limitations of spectral clustering, by constructing a doubly stochastic graph affinity matrix and approximating it with the scaled product of fuzzy cluster indicator matrices. The newly designed fuzzy cluster indicator matrix has non-negativity and row normalization properties, allowing for direct cluster assignment and obtaining membership to different clusters for each data point.
