A large-scale group consensus reaching approach considering self-confidence with two-tuple linguistic trust/distrust relationship and its application in life cycle sustainability assessment

Mi Zhou et al.

Summary: In this paper, a concept of two-tuple linguistic trust/distrust relationship (LTR) is proposed to address the issue of reaching consensus in large-scale group decision making (LSGDM). The transformation rule from two-tuple LTR to numerical trust degree is analyzed, along with the propagation operator of indirect trust/distrust relationships. Three-level identification and adjustment mechanisms are proposed for the consensus reaching process (CRP) under uncertain distribution form preferences. The proposed method is implemented in life cycle sustainability assessment to demonstrate its validity and effectiveness in dealing with realistic group decision making problems.

Cooperative game based two-stage consensus adjustment mechanism for large-scale group decision making *

Fanyong Meng et al.

Summary: Large-scale group decision making (LSGDM) is a powerful technology that deals with complex decision problems by addressing the divergent perceptions of decision makers (DMs) from different fields. Consensus adjustment mechanisms are crucial for obtaining widely accepted decision results, and this paper introduces two-stage consensus adjustment mechanisms based on cooperative game theory. The paper proposes a two-stage Shapley consensus adjustment mechanism and a two-stage core-Nash bargaining consensus adjustment mechanism, as well as two new algorithms for LSGDM. A numerical example is provided to demonstrate the feasibility of the new method.

Maximum satisfaction consensus with budget constraints considering individual tolerance and compromise limit behaviors

Dong Cheng et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a consensus-reaching approach based on maximum satisfaction under budget constraints for decision-makers with behaviors of tolerance and limited compromise. The results from the case study of China's Taihu Lake pollution control demonstrate the impact of individual tolerance behavior on the consensus outcome and the importance of selecting an appropriate consensus threshold for real application. Furthermore, soft consensus measures are introduced to achieve different levels of consensus.

Consensus reaching process in large-scale group decision making based on bounded confidence and social network

Yanhong Li et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a CRP approach based on bounded confidence and social network for large-scale group decision-making. The approach manages experts' opinions by reducing problem dimension and using experts' weights obtained from social network analysis. The CRP is built based on the Manhattan distance, and a feedback mechanism is developed to adjust experts' opinions. The numerical example and comparisons demonstrate the feasibility and advantages of the proposed approach.

Summary: In this study, a new K-means clustering method is proposed to address the complexity of consensus reaching in large-scale group decision making. By considering preferences and preference adjustment costs, the clustering algorithm aims to improve the similarity among intracluster individuals while balancing the conflict between consensus reaching levels and total adjustment costs.
