Sivakumar Vadakku Mannam Ramasamy et al.

Summary: The study synthesized a reusable magnetic multimetal nano-catalyst (Fe3O4.Cs2O) using co-precipitation and incipient wetness impregnation methods, and applied it to esterify and transesterify Madhuca indica (M. indica) oil for biodiesel production. The prepared catalyst, caesium oxide doped on a nano-magnetite core, was characterized using FESEM, XRD, and FTIR. The biodiesel conversion was maximized by adjusting the process variables, and a maximum conversion of 97.4% was achieved under specific conditions. The catalyst also showed good recyclability with a conversion rate above 90% for at least 12 cycles. The biodiesel fuel properties met the ASTM D6751 standard limits.
