Distributed Deep Reinforcement Learning-Based Energy and Emission Management Strategy for Hybrid Electric Vehicles

Xiaolin Tang et al.

Summary: Advanced algorithms such as DQN, A3C, and DPPO were introduced to propose energy and emission management strategies in hybrid electric vehicles. Simulation results showed near-optimal fuel economy and outstanding computational efficiency with the distributed DRL algorithms, improving learning efficiency by four times compared to DQN.

Road Test of Selected Electrical Parameters of the Hybrid Vehicle Accumulation System

Konrad Prajwowski et al.

Summary: Increasing energy efficiency in hybrid electric vehicles involves recovering kinetic energy in delayed movement phase to convert it to electricity for charging batteries. Electric machine can function as a generator for this purpose. Besides lithium-ion systems, nickel-metal hydride solutions are considered as alternatives. Specific electrical parameters of battery systems, such as voltage and current, are influenced by road conditions. An electric model, Three RC Network Model, accurately describes the behavior of nickel-metal hydride energy accumulation system.
