Summary: Visual-based road crack detection has become a hot research topic due to its wide applications. Traditional methods for crack detection may be affected by factors such as light and shadow, leading to decreased detection results. This paper proposes a distribution equalization learning mechanism utilizing a U-Net based architecture and weighted cross entropy loss to improve the detection performance for road crack detection tasks. Additionally, the combination of an auxiliary interaction loss and self-attention strategy is introduced to consider relationships among different local regions in the image.
