SwapInpaint: Identity-Specific Face Inpainting With Identity Swapping

Honglei Li et al.

Summary: In this work, the authors propose a disentangle and subject-agnostic framework for face inpainting, which affects both full and partial-face inpainting using a reference face image. The framework consists of an identity encoding module, a content inference module, and a generative module. The method achieves higher identity similarity and better structural correctness compared to state-of-the-art works.

Generative Memory-Guided Semantic Reasoning Model for Image Inpainting

Xin Feng et al.

Summary: This paper addresses the critical challenge of single image inpainting by accurately inferring semantic information with limited data. The proposed GM-SRM leverages generative memory and inter-image reasoning priors to effectively handle large corrupted areas and outperforms state-of-the-art methods in terms of visual quality and quantitative metrics.

Joint Depth and Density Guided Single Image De-Raining

Lei Cai et al.

Summary: Single image de-raining is a challenging problem, and researchers have developed methods based on depth or density guidance. This paper proposes a novel joint depth and density guided de-raining method, which achieves adaptive rain streak and fog removal using depth and density information. A global-local discriminator structure is introduced to prevent spatially-varying artifacts. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms previous non-guided, density-guided, and depth-guided de-raining methods.

Cross-SRN: Structure-Preserving Super-Resolution Network With Cross Convolution

Yuqing Liu et al.

Summary: In this study, a hierarchical feature exploitation network called Cross-SRN is designed to restore low-resolution images to high-resolution images. The network probes and preserves structural information through multi-scale feature fusion, achieving competitive restoration performance and accurate preservation of edge features.

Dual-Pyramidal Image Inpainting With Dynamic Normalization

Chao Wang et al.

Summary: In this paper, we propose a dual-pyramidal inpainting framework called DPNet to address the limitations of inadequate feature representation and inaccurate regularization in damaged image restoration. The framework integrates feature learning and dynamic regularization within an autoencoder network. The proposed techniques including layer-wise pyramidal convolution and Pyramidal Attention Mechanism (PAM) improve feature extraction and representation, while the dynamic normalization mechanism ensures feature integrity and consistency. Experimental results demonstrate that DPNet outperforms existing competitors on benchmark datasets.

A Simple Local Minimal Intensity Prior and an Improved Algorithm for Blind Image Deblurring

Fei Wen et al.

Summary: The paper introduces a simplified sparsity prior called patch-wise minimal pixels (PMP) and proposes a novel algorithm that efficiently exploits the sparsity of PMP in deblurring. The new algorithm flexibly imposes sparsity inducing on the PMP under the maximum a posterior (MAP) framework, avoiding non-rigorous approximation solutions in existing algorithms and being more computationally efficient.
