Research on spatial filtering velocity measurement method for an interdigital electrostatic sensor

Heming Gao et al.

Summary: Particle velocity is an important parameter for describing gas-solid two-phase flows. This study proposes a new type of interdigital electrostatic sensor to solve the problem of the spatial filtering effect caused by the spatial distribution of solid particles. Through finite element simulation and experimental verification, it is shown that the sensor eliminates the influence of particle spatial position and particle size on velocity measurement results. The relative error of the measurement system is less than 5% in the velocity range of 2.97 m/s to 4.95 m/s, and the relative standard deviation of repeated measurements is within 3%.

Measurement of cross-sectional velocity distribution of pneumatically conveyed particles in a square-shaped pipe through electrostatic sensing and Gaussian process regression

Yongyue Wang et al.

Summary: This paper presents a novel approach for the measurement of cross-sectional particle velocity distribution in a square-shaped pipe using sensors and Gaussian process regression (GPR). The results suggest that this approach is feasible and can accurately measure the velocity of particles in large diameter pipes.

An adaptive CEEMD-ANN algorithm and its application in pneumatic conveying flow pattern identification

Jiming Li et al.

Summary: In this paper, an algorithm for identifying flow patterns in a pneumatic conveying pipeline using a combination of CEEMD and BP neural network is proposed. By selecting the IMF energy feature as the input of BP neural network, an accurate flow pattern discrimination rate is achieved. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can efficiently recognize flow patterns.
