IF-Over-Fiber Transmission of OFDM Quantum-Noise Randomized PSK Cipher for Physical Layer Encryption of Wireless Signals

Ken Tanizawa et al.

Summary: This study proposes a fiber-based cipher system that can directly prevent wireless interception. By analyzing the system theoretically, a tradeoff between security and signal quality is derived. Experimental results demonstrate that the system can generate PSK cipher signals at a rate of 4.09 Gbit/s with adjacent signals masked by quantum noise. The decrypted signals have a low error vector magnitude for wireless transmission.

High-gain and low-profile dielectric-image-line leaky-wave-antenna for wide-angle beam scanning at sub-THz frequencies

Yalda Torabi et al.

Summary: A low-profile THz leaky-wave antenna enabled by a Dielectric Image-Line (DIL) with wide beam steering capability is reported for the first time in this paper. The DIL, synthesized directly on a substrate with high dielectric permittivity, is suitable for emerging directive compact antennas for future sub-THz wave communications. The proposed antenna has a wide operating bandwidth and high gain.
