The IOTA Simple Rules have high diagnostic performance in distinguishing between benign and malignant adnexal masses, providing a reliable tool for early diagnosis of ovarian cancer.
The IOTA Simple Rules demonstrate high diagnostic performance in distinguishing be-tween benign and malignant adnexal masses. They achieve a correct classification rate of approximately 95.28% for adnexal masses, which is superior to the perfor-mance of tumor biomarkers alone. However, when combined with CA125 and ferritin, the IOTA SR criteria further enhance the diagnostic accuracy in the early detection of ovarian cancer. The combination of these strategies leads to a significant improve-ment in the ability to differentiate between benign and malignant masses, providing clinicians with a more reliable tool for early diagnosis and appropriate management of ovarian cancer.
