Wildlife resource conservation and utilization for achieving sustainable development in China: main barriers and problem identification

Na Du et al.

Summary: The rapid growth of industrial economy has impacted wildlife survival, leading to a decline in wildlife resources that further negatively impacts the industrial economy. As a result, efforts have been made to find a development strategy that harmonizes industrial economic development and resource protection, with wildlife protection gaining attention. However, China still faces challenges in wildlife protection, including over-utilization, habitat loss, weak legal awareness, and indiscriminate hunting. This paper summarizes the main problems and barriers to wildlife resource conservation and utilization in China, identifies the main technology factors influencing wildlife resource conservation and utilization using the analytic hierarchy process (AHP), and discusses the future research development direction of wildlife conservation based on critical factors.

Interval-Valued Intuitionistic Uncertain Linguistic Cloud Petri Net and Its Application to Risk Assessment for Subway Fire Accident

Cheng Zhang et al.

Summary: This article proposes a risk assessment method based on interval intuitionistic integrated cloud Petri net (IIICPN). The method converts interval-valued intuitionistic uncertain linguistic numbers into IIIC and uses IIICPN's reasoning method for risk assessment. The feasibility and superiority of the proposed method are confirmed through experiments.

Fuzzy data-driven scenario-based robust data envelopment analysis for prediction and optimisation of an electrical discharge machine's parameters

Hadi Gholizadeh et al.

Summary: This study investigates the impact of electrical discharge machines (EDM) on production management and develops a mathematical modelling approach to analyze its effect on volumetric flow rate, electrode corrosion percentage, and surface roughness. The proposed method predicts and optimizes EDM parameters using a fuzzy possibility regression integrated model and an adaptive-network-based fuzzy inference system. The results confirm the accuracy and reliability of the method and encourage further testing.

A Distance Measure for Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets and Its Application to Pattern Classification Problems

Fuyuan Xiao

Summary: This article introduces a new distance measure between Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets (IFSs) based on the Jensen-Shannon divergence, which not only meets the axiomatic definition of distance measure, but also possesses nonlinear characteristics, allowing for better discrimination between IFSs and producing more reasonable results compared to other existing methods. This new distance measure is illustrated through numerical examples and is further applied to pattern classification, offering a promising solution for solving inference problems.
