Comparing the Differences in Slowing Myopia Progression by Riboflavin/Ultraviolet A Scleral Cross-linking before and after Lens-induced Myopia in Guinea Pigs

Lingbo Lai et al.

Summary: Riboflavin/UVA sCXL can slow myopia progression in Guinea pigs, with preventative sCXL showing better inhibition of myopic refraction. This intervention may control ultrastructure alterations of the sclera during myopia remodeling.

Study of the effects of rabbit scleral fibroblasts on cellular biomechanical properties and MMP-2 expression using two modes of riboflavin/ultraviolet A wave collagen cross-linking

Boyu Chen et al.

Summary: This study evaluated the cellular biomechanical properties and MMP-2 expression changes in rabbit scleral fibroblasts using two different modes of riboflavin and ultraviolet A collagen cross-linking. The results showed that both modes of cross-linking did not have significant side effects on the retina, but they significantly enhanced the cell biomechanical properties and increased MMP-2 expression in scleral fibroblasts.

Protective effects of riboflavin-UVA-mediated posterior sclera collagen cross-linking in a guinea pig model of form-deprived myopia

Ding Han et al.

Summary: The study showed that posterior sclera collagen cross-linking induced by riboflavin-UVA can slow down the progression of form-deprived myopia and increase the biomechanical strength of the sclera in guinea pigs.
