The SnO2/Al2O3 catalyst promoted with CuCl2, ZnCl2, KF exhibited high activity in the synthesis of dimethyl carbonate from methanol and CO2 (130 degrees C, 16 bar, 4 h) providing the 17.8% yield of the product with ca. 99% selectivity.
