Transparency in quality of radiotherapy for breast cancer in the Netherlands: a national registration of radiotherapy-parameters

Summary: This study developed the NABON Breast Cancer Audit-Radiotherapy (NBCA-R), a nationwide registry of breast cancer radiotherapy data to decrease practice variation. Through two pilot studies, a set of radiotherapy parameters was established, and the use of an automatic upload module minimized the burden of registration. This study is important for analyzing practice variation and improving the quality of breast cancer radiotherapy.

Triple negative breast cancer: Pitfalls and progress

Future efforts are needed to identify targetable abnormalities, prevent immune evasion, and provide more social-economic support.
