Leonurine attenuates angiotensin II-induced cardiac injury and dysfunction via inhibiting MAPK and NF-κB pathway

Siyuan Shen et al.

Summary: The study investigates the protective effects of leonurine on Ang II-induced hypertensive cardiac injury. The results show that leonurine alleviates cardiac hypertrophy, fibrosis, and inflammation in both mice and cardiomyocytes. It also improves cardiac function and inhibits the MAPK and NF-kappa B pathways, providing evidence for leonurine as a promising agent for treating hypertensive heart failure.

Corynoline protects ang II-induced hypertensive heart failure by increasing PPAR? and Inhibiting NF-?B pathway

Mengyang Wang et al.

Summary: Hypertensive heart failure is often associated with cardiac inflammation, but corynoline, a naturally occurring compound, can prevent heart dysfunction by inhibiting inflammation, myocardial fibrosis, and hypertrophy without affecting blood pressure. It does so by increasing the interaction between PPAR alpha and P65 to inhibit the NF-kappa B pathway.

Parkia speciosa Hassk. Empty Pod Extract Alleviates Angiotensin II-Induced Cardiomyocyte Hypertrophy in H9c2 Cells by Modulating the Ang II/ROS/NO Axis and MAPK Pathway

Hawa Nordin Siti et al.

Summary: The study found that Parkia speciosa empty pod extract can protect against angiotensin II-induced cardiomyocyte hypertrophy by modulating the Ang II/reactive oxygen species/nitric oxide axis and mitogen-activated protein kinase signaling pathway, potentially through a mechanism distinct from valsartan.

Sinomenine ameliorates cardiac hypertrophy by activating Nrf2/ARE signaling pathway

ManLi Yuan et al.

Summary: Sinomenine has been demonstrated to alleviate cardiac hypertrophy by activating the Nrf2/ARE signaling pathway, which leads to reduced cell area, decreased apoptosis rate, and regulation of gene and protein expression levels associated with cardiac hypertrophy. Further research is needed to confirm these findings in human subjects.
