Qualitative and Quantitative Detection of Food Adulteration Using a Smart E-Nose

Kranthi Kumar Pulluri et al.

Summary: Food adulteration is a serious problem in the food industry, and this study focuses on the development of a smart electronic nose (SE-Nose) for fast and accurate detection of food adulteration. By using the sample slicing window protocol and pattern recognition models, high-performance and fast-track detection of pork adulteration in beef is achieved. SVM classification and regression models show high accuracy and fast recognition time in detecting pork adulteration in beef.
