An adaptive element subdivision method based on the affine transformations and partitioning techniques for evaluating the weakly singular integrals

Baotao Chi et al.

Summary: In this paper, an adaptive element subdivision method based on affine transformations and partitioning techniques (APSM) is proposed for evaluating weakly singular integrals with arbitrary shape of elements. The input surface element is partitioned using affine transformations, and high-quality patches are generated through adaptive binary-tree subdivision. The proposed method has advantages over conventional methods, including adaptive element subdivision, improved accuracy, and straightforward implementation. Numerical examples are provided to validate the accuracy, efficiency, and availability of the proposed method.

Radiative energy transfer model for high frequency vibration of functionally graded beams in thermal environment

Jinan Huang et al.

Summary: A simple and efficient energy flow model is developed to predict the high frequency vibration response of FG beams in thermal environment. The model incorporates thermal effects into the dynamic model and considers the energy conversion relationship at boundaries. The response of FG beam loaded by a high-frequency harmonic force is described by energy density and energy flow intensity.

An adaptive binary-tree element subdivision method for evaluation of volume integrals with continuous or discontinuous kernels

Baotao Chi et al.

Summary: This study introduces an adaptive binary-tree element subdivision method for evaluating volume integrals to facilitate automatic and high-quality patch generation. The method improves integration accuracy and reduces sensitivity to element shape. The implementation of geometry-adaptive projection cavity construction algorithm and comprehensive cavity projection techniques enhances the efficiency and accuracy of the proposed method.

Summary: The study presents a multi-scale method based on the combination of BEM and PD, which effectively models crack propagation in 2D elastic bodies. By separating non-cracked and cracked domains for processing and utilizing both BEM and PD, the method improves modeling efficiency and computational accuracy.
