Diverse Supports for Immobilization of Catalysts in Continuous Flow Reactors

Geyu Lin et al.

Summary: The rapid development of continuous flow processes has led to innovations in chemical syntheses and industrial productions. Immobilizing catalysts in flow reactors can enhance efficiency and eliminate subsequent separation procedures. This article discusses the methods of incorporating catalysts in flow reactors, with an emphasis on utilizing additional supports such as inorganic materials, polymeric materials, and other specific materials for different conditions. It also explores advanced techniques for ordered micro-/nanoarrays and the application of vortex fluidic devices to inspire novel designs of supports for fluidic reactors with diverse applications.
