In this paper, 1,3,5-triazine dyes were successfully synthesized and their photophysical properties were studied. Two probes were selected for further investigation, showing promising applications in various fields.
As a class of heterocyclic compounds, 1,3,5-Triazines have a wide range of applications in degradable materials, drug synthesis, fluorescent dyes, etc. In this paper, donor-acceptor, pi-conjugated 1,3,5-triazine dyes (TzAr-R) were successfully synthesized from 1,3,5-triazine and benzaldehyde derivatives, and their photophysical prop-erties were studied. On this basis, two typical probes (TzAr-OH and TzAr-NapOH) were selected for in-depth study, and found to have the advantages of pH resistance, high selectivity, good viscosity response and low cytotoxicity. Furthermore, TzAr-OH and TzAr-NapOH exhibited excellent performance in cell viscosity detec-tion and monitoring liquid food spoilage, indicating that the probes could be used as powerful imaging tools in the fields of biomedicine and food safety detection.
