On the modulational of Schamel nonlinear Schrodinger equation and the associated envelope excitations in a degenerate relativistic quantum complex plasma

S. A. El-Tantawy et al.

Summary: The modulational instability (MI) and the associated envelope excitations, including bright solitons, in a multicomponent dense plasma consisting of relativistically degenerate electrons, trapped ions, and non-degenerate dust species are reported in this study. The Schamel/modified nonlinear Schrödinger equation (SNLSE) or (mNLSE) with a nonlinear term of fractional order (3/2) is derived using a conventional multiple scales perturbative technique. The MI criteria are derived in detail and the effects of different physical parameters on the profile of the envelope solitary wave are briefly discussed. The current results are important for understanding the mechanism of envelope excitations in complex plasmas and have applications in space observations and laboratory complex plasmas.

Nonlinear Excitations of Dust Ion Acoustic Waves in Multispecies Plasma

M. Kaur et al.

Summary: The nonlinear propagation properties of dust ion acoustic breathers in an unmagnetized nonthermal plasma with electrons featuring Vasyliunas-Cairns (VC) distribution have been investigated. The nonlinear Schrodinger equation (NLSE) has been derived from the KP equation, and breathers have been studied from its rational solutions. The parameters such as nonthermality, superthermality, dust to ions number density ratio, and temperature ratio of cold to hot electrons have been found to modify the propagation properties of the breathers. This investigation provides insights into the physics of nonlinear structures in the Saturn magnetosphere's environment.

On the dynamics of nonlinear propagation and interaction of the modified KP solitons in multicomponent complex plasmas

Muhammad Shohaib et al.

Summary: This study analyzes dust-acoustic waves (DAWs) in a collisionless unmagnetized dusty plasma using the fluid theory of plasmas. The modified Kadomtsev-Petviashvili (mKP) equation is derived and used to investigate the propagation and interaction of solitary waves. The effects of ion distribution parameters on the frequency of DAWs are studied and compared with Maxwellian and kappa distributions. The calculated electric field amplitudes of dust-acoustic solitary waves (DASWs) for different ion distributions agree well with observations. The interaction time of DASWs for non-Maxwellian ion distributions is estimated and shown to be fastest for the (r, q) distributed ions. The interaction between compressive and rarefactive solitons is also discussed in detail.

KP, MKP, and CKP dust ion acoustic solitons in a multispecies non-Maxwellian plasma

Manveet Kaur et al.

Summary: This paper presents the characteristics of small amplitude dust ion acoustic (DIA) solitons under transverse perturbations in a multispecies plasma with dust impurity and Vasyliunas-Cairns distributed two temperature electrons. Different equations are derived and solutions are obtained to investigate the influence of plasma parameters and higher order effects on the soliton characteristics. The existence of positive and negative potential solitons and the stability analysis of the soliton solution are also discussed.

Head-on collision of multi-solitons in a magnetized space dusty plasma in the presence of nonextensive polarization force

Kuldeep Singh et al.

Summary: This study investigates the head-on collision of dust-acoustic multi-solitons in a magnetized space dusty plasma containing negative dust, Maxwellian electrons, and q-nonextensively distributed ions under the influence of polarization force. The presence of q-nonextensive ions significantly alters the polarization force, leading to phase shifts after the interaction of single, double, and triple-(DA) solitons. The combined effects of physical parameters such as polarization force parameter, nonextensivity, and magnetic field strength on the phase shifts of DA multi-solitons are complex and noteworthy.

Head-on Collisional Effects of Ion Acoustic Waves in Magnetized Plasma: Linear and Nonlinear Analyses

M. S. Alam et al.

Summary: The head-on collision phenomena of ion acoustic waves in electron-positron-ion magnetized plasmas were investigated through linear and nonlinear analyses. The effects of wave frequency on linear group velocity, species density ratio, and the production of ion acoustic solitons were studied. Additionally, the impact of obliqueness on nonlinearity coefficient, phase shifts, and density ratios was demonstrated.
