Learning on 3D Meshes With Laplacian Encoding and Pooling

Yi-Ling Qiao et al.

Summary: This article introduces a deep learning approach to process 3D meshes, which utilizes Laplacian spectral analysis to encode mesh connectivity and employs mesh feature aggregation blocks to gather local and global information. The method outperforms state-of-the-art algorithms in shape segmentation and classification tasks on ShapeNet and COSEG datasets.

Deep Clustering: On the Link Between Discriminative Models and K-Means

Mohammed Jabi et al.

Summary: In recent deep clustering studies, discriminative models have shown competitive performance and are found to be equivalent to K-means under certain conditions. A new soft and regularized deep K-means algorithm is proposed, connecting state-of-the-art discriminative models directly to K-means and achieving competitive performance on image clustering benchmarks.

Nearest Neighbor Matching for Deep Clustering

Zhiyuan Dang et al.

Summary: Deep clustering is an important branch in unsupervised learning, but current approaches often lack consideration of semantic sample relationships in both local and global features. To address this, a method called Nearest Neighbor Matching (NNM) is proposed, which matches samples with their nearest neighbors at both local and global levels, with consistent loss and class contrastive loss formulated to maintain clustering assignment consistency. Experimental results demonstrate the superiority of the new model, showing improved performance on benchmark datasets.
