A Pragmatic, Data-Driven Method to Determine Cutoffs for CSF Biomarkers of Alzheimer Disease Based on Validation Against PET Imaging

Julien Dumurgier et al.

Summary: This study proposes a new algorithm to establish cutoffs for CSF biomarkers of Alzheimer's disease (AD) and validates it against CSF classification derived from PET imaging. The algorithm shows high agreement with the PET imaging-based classification and can potentially reduce heterogeneity in AD classification.

Alzheimer's cerebrospinal biomarkers from Lumipulse fully automated immunoassay: concordance with amyloid-beta PET and manual immunoassay in Koreans CSF AD biomarkers measured by Lumipulse in Koreans

Sohee Moon et al.

Summary: This study evaluated the clinical utility of CSF AD biomarkers from the Lumipulse fully automated immunoassay in Koreans. The results showed that this method strongly predicts the progression of cognitive decline and demonstrates excellent diagnostic discrimination between AD and CN. Further evaluation in larger, diverse cohorts is warranted.

Application of modern neuroimaging technology in the diagnosis and study of Alzheimer's disease

Hong-Mei Zeng et al.

Summary: Modern imaging techniques such as positron emission computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging have revealed specific changes in brain structure and function in patients with Alzheimer's disease, including decreased glucose metabolism, altered metabolite ratios, and early detection of cortical atrophy. These findings are useful for differential diagnosis, experimental studies, and exploring the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease.
