This article reports two cases of recurrent grade III hemangiopericytoma with high expression of Ga-68-PSMA-11 in PET/CT. Based on the examination, one of them received targeted α-therapy with IV injection of Ac-225-PSMA-617.
Hemangiopericytoma is a mesenchymal neoplasm that derives from pericytes surrounding the capillaries presenting overexpression of PSMA, which can be a source of pitfall in Ga-68-PSMA-11 PET/CT. We reported 2 cases with recurrent hemangiopericytoma grade III with high expression of Ga-68-PSMA-11 in PET/CT. Based on the performed examination, one of them received targeted a-therapy with the IV injection of Ac-225-PSMA-617.
