Raspberry-like CuWO4 hollow spheres anchored on sulfur-doped g-C3N4 composite: An efficient electrocatalyst for selective electrochemical detection of antibiotic drug nitrofurazone

Jeyaraman Anupriya et al.

Summary: A highly selective and sensitive electrochemical sensor for the determination of nitrofurazone was reported in this study. A sulfur-doped graphitic carbon nitride with copper tungstate hollow sphere composite was synthesized using a facile ultrasonic method. The physicochemical properties and surface morphology of the composite were characterized, and the electrochemical activity of the composite material was tested. The proposed sensor exhibited low detection limit, good sensitivity, excellent repeatability, reproducibility, long-term storage stability, and selectivity.

Electrochemical sensing of nitrofurazone on Ru(bpy)32+functionalized polyoxometalate combined with graphene modified electrode

Sixue Cai et al.

Summary: Nitrofurazone, although forbidden in aquaculture, is often illegally used due to its effective bactericidal effect. This study presents a sensitive detection method for nitrofurazone using functionalized polyoxometalate and graphene modified electrodes, allowing for direct detection at low levels in actual samples.

Blocking the Cu (II) Ions Mediated Catalytical Ability for Construction of Ratiometric Fluorescence Sensing Platform Based on Glutathione-Stabilized Copper Nanoclusters

Bei-Bei Tao et al.

Summary: Integrating two kinds of fluorescent probes in one system to construct a ratiometric sensing platform is of great importance. A novel and label-free ratiometric fluorescent sensor has been developed for detection of Cu2+ and kojic acid based on in situ converting o-phenylenediamine into 2, 3-diaminophenazine by the catalytic oxidation ability of Cu2+. The sensitivity and accuracy of this strategy were greatly improved due to the dual-emission reverse change ratiometric profile.

Efficient detection for Nitrofurazone based on novel Ag2S QDs/g-C3N4 fluorescent probe

Hualai Wang et al.

Summary: A novel fluorescent probe based on Ag2S QDs/g-C3N4 composite was synthesized by loading Ag2S quantum dots on the surface of g-C3N4, and it was successfully applied in the sensitive detection of Nitrofurazone. The results showed that Ag2S QDs/g-C3N4 exhibited a wide linear detection range and low detection limit for NFZ, and the fluorescence detection mechanism was revealed through experiments and theoretical calculations.

Self-assembled copper nanoclusters structure-dependent fluorescent enhancement for sensitive determination of tetracyclines by the restriction intramolecular motion

Hai-Bo Wang et al.

Summary: This study presents a specific structure of self-assembled copper nanoclusters (CuNCs) that greatly enhances the fluorescence emission intensity of tetracycline (TC), enabling high sensitivity detection of TC. The fluorescence emission intensity of TC increases as the concentration range of TC increases, with a detection limit lower by 50-fold compared to methods without self-assembled CuNCs. Additionally, the strategy is successfully applied for determining TC contents in milk and urine samples.

Preparation of novel nanostructured WO3/CuMnO2 p-n heterojunction nanocomposite for photoelectrochemical detection of nitrofurazone

Sethupathi Velmurugan et al.

Summary: In this research, a visible light active tungsten oxide/copper manganate (WO3/CuMnO2) p-n heterojunction nanocomposite was prepared and utilized for photoelectrochemical sensing of antibiotic nitrofurazone (NFZ). The nanocomposite showed improved performance compared to pure WO3 nanotiles, with enhanced visible light absorption and synergy from p-n heterojunction formation. The designed sensor displayed satisfactory photocurrent signals for NFZ detection with a low detection limit, demonstrating practical applicability in food and water samples.
